About the Osteopath
Kalla qualified with a Bachelor of Osteopathy (B.Ost.) from the largest Osteopathic institution in Europe, the British School of Osteopathy in 2008 and has since worked in a variety of Osteopathic practices before taking over the practice at Gold Street Medical Centre from Harriet Walker in March 2009.
Kalla treats patients of all ages for a wide variety of conditions. Her interests are in treating stress and posture related pain which often relate to chronic headaches, neck and shoulder pain.
Previous to and during her osteopathic training, Kalla worked in law offices in City of London and knows the detrimental effects of poor posture and repetitive strain injuries. Kalla is a firm believer that mechanical strains that are not properly addressed during the course of the first 3-4 decades of life causes compressive changes within the joint capsules often leading to more than normal "wear and tear" (also known as osteoarthritis) of the joints.
